Looks like you multiplied the exponents instead of adding them. The rule is, add the exponents when the bases match. Quick check, in 2 cubed times 2 to the 4, do we add 3 plus 4 or multiply 3 times 4?
Same base, both 2. Add the exponents: 3 plus 4 equals 7. Answer is 2 to the 7.
In the current supported Year 8 Mathematics practice flow, the first incorrect submission asks the student to review their work. The second can trigger a targeted hint. The third can trigger a worked explanation before the lesson checks the idea again.
A self-check prompt asks the student to inspect the work and try again.
Kallipo tries to match an authored misconception hint, with a more general hint as a fallback.
