Kallipo asks a student to work through a question, then changes its support when the submitted answer is wrong. The current supported Year 8 Mathematics practice flow uses a clear three-stage response.
The three-stage practice flow
Second: a more specific hint
Kallipo first tries a matching authored misconception hint. It can fall back to another error pattern or a general hint.
Third: show and explain
Kallipo shows and explains a worked solution, then checks the idea again with another question.
The student still does the work
The lesson presents the question in the working area. Depending on the question, the student writes, chooses or explicitly submits an answer. Voice is used for guidance and explanation.
Lessons can combine voice, written working, on-screen choices and explicit answer submission.
What a targeted hint means
Supported practice questions can include authored hints for known misconception patterns. When a submitted answer matches one of those patterns, Kallipo can use the matching guidance.
When there is no matching authored pattern, Kallipo provides broader guidance before moving to the worked explanation stage.
A backup question can revisit the same skill
A correct answer reached with help, or a show-and-explain path, can keep the same skill slot active. A backup question can then check the idea again.
After the attempt limit, the lesson can move forward and record the skill for more practice.
Practice sits inside a wider lesson
The current Mathematics phase model can include refresher questions, an introduction, practice, a practice summary, quiz introduction, quiz, finish and completion.
Some lessons can add bonus practice after first-attempt errors. Structured quiz answers are submitted on screen, while voice supports conversation and explanation.
